WEIGHTED

Weighted Calisthenics is a training method and a variation of Calisthenics in which you increase the resistance of your own body weight by adding extra weights, thus performing fewer repetitions. This type of training is especially effective for those who want to train their maximum strength or make more progress through progressive overload. Weighted Calisthenics, also called Streetlifting, includes exercises like pull ups, chin ups, rows, dips, push ups or even handstand push ups or muscle ups for advanced users.

Weighted Calisthenics has several advantages over traditional calisthenics training. Due to the increased resistance provided by the extra weights, you can develop your maximum strength much faster and it is also possible to progress through progressive overload. It's also a great way to increase the intensity of your workout, boosting calorie burn and strength gains.

In Weighted Calisthenics, you use a variety of equipment to attach weights to your body or create more resistance than you could with just your body weight. The most popular tools in Weighted Calisthenics are weight belts and weight vests. The vest has the advantage of being compact against the body, making exercises like squats or push-ups easier to implement. The dip belt has the advantage that you can attach heavy weights and carry it easily. So you can take it in your sports bag to the gym and attach kettlebells, weight plates or dumbbells to the chain or a dip belt rope. Supports for the elbow or wrists help for more safety and stability in heavy sets.
